Bo

Bo with his blanketI travel a great deal for my job – often 2 or 3 weeks each month. My cat, Brady, had begun chewing off the fur from his legs and his belly. After numerous tests and expensive prescription cat food to rule out allergies, my vet and I decided that Brady was stressed because of my traveling and needed a companion. Brady had tested positive for FIV so I thought it only fair to get another cat with the same condition. I called the shelter on a Monday asking if we had any FIV+ cats and was told no. However, by that Thursday, Danielle called me to say that a FIV+ cat had come in the prior day. I went to look at him and fell in love immediately. He is a beautiful classic red tabby and in spite of having a severe injury to his front paw, he immediately began purring as soon as I began petting him. Courtney and Stephanie did a wonderful job in making sure that Bo’s injured foot was healed by the time I was able to take him home the following Thursday. While Brady initially wasn’t as happy to have a new member of the family as I was, within 2 weeks they were sleeping on the couch or sitting in my lap at the same time without any issues. From the beginning, Bo has been so loving and has the sweetest dispositon. Several of my family members and my pet sitters have met Bo and have fallen in love with him just as I have. The picture of Bo is of him sleeping on his blanket the shelter gave me when I brought him home. He seems to know it’s his bed and sleeps on it often. I am blessed to have him in my life and I am so appreciative to the staff for the wonderful care they gave him.
