I am not sure what prompted me to choose this beautiful 4-year-old cat named Marble. He just seemed to be the right one. When I brought him home, I was going to introduce him to the house slowly, but once out of the first room, he investigated every room and the basement all by himself. The first couple days he followed me wherever I went in the house, and then gradually he seemed more secure. A month has passed, and he now knows when I am leaving and meets me at the door when I return. His nose pushing my hand to pet him is my “alarm clock” as soon as there is the first light of dawn. Then he lays on my chest to be petted until he is ready to start the day. Although he sleeps a lot – don’t they all, he likes company when awake. He is beginning to play more, especially with his mouse filled with catnip. He is a wonderful companion.
