Piper found us at the Mutt Strut last month. We were walking with our other rescue dog, Walker. She was working on being really cute when we spotted her looking our way. Helpless to resist, we approached and met her along with a very nice Shelter volunteer. We went home with information about her and went back to the shelter to visit her on Monday. By Wednesday we had brought Walker to visit her and determined they might just be fast friends! It is funny looking back on it now.   She really showed how much she hated being caged when the volunteers put her back after our first visit. She bared her teeth and tried her 6 pound best to prove to us she was 75 pounds of fierce. We were not fooled. We took her home (she drove most of the way) and she immediately showed us what a powder puff of love she is! She has gone for long walks and visited at the Farmers Marker, met the neighbors and even loves the in-laws! Wow! She’s a keeper! She loves to sneak under the covers as soon as she finds someone sleeping! She has learned the house rules fast and it is hard to recall life before Piper! She is named after the aircraft Piper Cherokee since my son is a student pilot. She is soaring high on life now! A true pack member! Thanks guys for helping us find such a doll!
