The Friends For the Dearborn Animal Shelter is an animal welfare organization. Our daily mission is to help find loving forever homes for rescued animals that come through our doors. Along the way, we provide medical care, animal socializing, a safe haven for the animals, and function as a resource about animal welfare for the community. As animal advocates, we provide active outreach programs that let you take part in helping further a more humane world for animals and their humans.
Fighting Animal Cruelty
Fighting Animal Cruelty offers tips about identifying cruelty, how to help stop it through legislation, and finally how to report it if you suspect cruelty is taking place.
Recycl-A-Bullz
Recycl-A-Bullz is an ambassadorship program in which we help dis-spell myths and educate the community about misunderstood “bully breeds.”

There are several plans in discussion, including one that will eliminate deductions altogether and replace them with a tax credit system.
