Black Tie & Tails – Recap
Southeast Michigan supporters enjoyed an “eco elegant evening for four-footed friends” at our 11th Black Tie & Tails, the annual premier fund-raiser hosted by Friends For the Dearborn Animal Shelter.
Attendees: More than 250
Funds raised: Over $111,000
Number of animals “re-homed”: 6 cats and dogs found homes with Black Tie guests
Special thanks to our sponsors & partners:
- We could not sustain our efforts to “recycle hope, lives, and love” without the ongoing dedication of our presenting sponsors MaryAnn Wright & Bob Sayles.
- Dr. Jeffrey Dizik of Affiliated Veterinary Emergency Service & Lincoln Park Veterinary Clinic has been a stalwart premier event sponsor for the past 6 years
- Please take a moment to visit all of our event sponsors
- Our media partners Yelp! and GreeningDetroit.com publicized Black Tie tremendously and added special panache during the evening. Please visit their sites for event photos & feeds.
Highlights:
- Special animal guest: Drover. An ultimate recycling success story.
Photo: Drover was thrown from a moving van early in 2011. He is pictured with volunteer coordinator Tracy Balazy.
- Honorary co-chairs Congressman John & Mrs. Debbie Dingell; Detroit Lions Don Muhlbach & Mrs. Alix Muhlbach; Detroit Lions Drew Stanton & Mrs. Kristin Stanton
